Suryapet: CPM politburo member BV Ragahavulu criticised both Central and the state governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for ignoring peoples’ aspirations and celebrating anniversary functions on a grand note.

On Wednesday, Raghavulu spoke to media at Suryapet and expressed concern over the genuine agitation of farmers in the country for Minimum Support Price for their farm produce and questioned the need to celebrate the three years success functions by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

He informed that Central government was least bothered about farmers’ issues. Both the governments in Telugu-speaking states were playing a mute spectator role with regard to huge land grabbing by politicians.

Both the Chief Ministers are trying their best to protect their followers from land scams, he alleged, stating that Telangana government violated the directions of High Court in placing the details of government lands in the state in public domain.

He raised objections over the Central government’s restriction over cattle sale, peoples’ food habits and on domination of Central government over the states’ powers. Several leaders of the party participated in the press meet.
