Karimnagar: In the early hours of June 12, when the police are busy in cordon and search operation on the outskirts of the town, a group of offenders walking into the town and decamped with loot - electronic goods and cash - from three shops and vanished.

As is their wont, some of the gang members stand in front of the shop holding bed sheets to cover the crime of opening shutters. The remaining members will enter the shop and clean sweep it before escaping. From there they will rush to the nearest railway station and leave the place. This is their modus operandi and on June 12 also they followed the same.

Four crime teams formed by Karimnagar police and a crime team from Hyderabad were hunting for the offenders. After observing gang on the CCTV footage, the police confirmed that they are from Motihari district in Bihar, the native place of hardcore criminals. There are hundreds of such gangs throughout the district, according to the police.

The police were investigating into the case whether this gang left for Nepal to sell the booty or still in Telugu states. The police are reportedly preparing strategies to apprehend the offenders with the help of Bihar police keeping in view the past experiences.

But the challenge before the police is how to apprehend the offenders. The locals of Motihari will never cooperate with the Telangana police and will not give any information about the gangs. Even the Bihar police do not dare to go there to apprehend the criminals despite knowing that these gangs live there.
