Suryapet/Nalgonda: Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy stated that the government had designed and introduced various schemes for the welfare of Muslims, who were below the poverty line.

On Friday, he distributed clothes to poor Muslims on the eve of Ramzan at a meeting held at Sumanjali function hall in Suryapet and Star function hall in Nalgonda.

Overcoming all the hurdles and curses of Andhra leaders, the Telangana government is celebrating festivals of all religions to keep the people of the State happy.

In this connection, the government has been spending crores of rupees in the interest of the people, which was never seen during the 60 years’ rule of Andhra Pradesh leaders.

Earlier, few parties and leaders divided the people of Telangana in the name of caste and religion for their selfish motives, but their tactics failed to work after the formation of Telangana State with the vision of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the entire nation is looking towards the State, he underlined.

Following the footsteps and ideology of the Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, the Telangana government has been taking all possible measures to maintain harmony and brotherhood between the various religions in the State.

UP media, after touring in Telangana and studying the State government flagship programmes like Mission Kaklatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Haritha Haram, Kalyana Laxmi , Shadi Mubarak and other welfare schemes, had praised KCR in their news articles and also suggested Prime Minister Modi to implement KCR schemes, he said.

Stating that the previous governments never respected Muslims and their festivals, he informed that the TRS government designed various schemes and paid special attention on Muslims to retain their lost glory.

The government established 121 minority Gurukul schools across the State to provide quality education to poor Muslim students on par with corporate schools and allocated special budget for their development, he added.

The Minister distributed clothes to as many as 6,500 Muslims in Suryapet and to about 1,000 Muslims in Nalgonda.

MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, TSFDC Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, MLA Gadari Kishore, Joint Collectors of Suryapet and Nalgonda districts Sanjeeva Reddy and Naryana Reddy respectively, local leaders, officials and beneficiaries were participated in the programme.
