Raids on fertiliser and seeds shops at Bhupalpalli

On the day, the police conducted raids on fertiliser and seeds shops across Bhupalpalli district, following complaints about some traders selling spurious seeds, bio-fertilisers and pesticides.

In a statement, the Superintendent of Police R Bhaskaran has appealed the farmers to purchase only government certified seeds, fertilisers, bio-fertilisers and pesticides. Serious action would be taken against those selling agriculture products without a valid license, he warned.

The SP appealed the farmers and public to inform the police if they found any trader selling spurious seeds, fertilisers and pesticides. Mulug DSP K Dakshina Murthy and others took part in the raids.
