Khammam: By practicing yoga regularly, one could develop self- confidence along with inner strength, said the Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal here on Wednesday.

He was participating in the International Yoga Day celebrations at the Police Training Centre. Addressing the police personnel, Iqbal urged them to do yogic exercises every day and said that regular yoga practice would not only improve physical and mental health but also boosts self-confidence immensely.

The Commissioner said that yoga helps in overcoming stress and strain which arise while discharging their duties in professional life. “Yoga which is practiced from ancient times had got worldwide recognition. By practicing yoga regularly one can get rid of physical and mental illness”, he added.

“For protecting their health and strengthen the immunity system, one must practice yoga regularly”, advised the Commissioner of Police. Yoga leads to peace and serenity, he added.

Assistant Commissioners of Police Ismail, Ganesh, Suresh Kumar, Sanjeev, Venkateshwarlu, the Yoga Guru of Sathya Sai Dhyana Mandali Chandrakar, Srinivas Rao, Suresh, Srinivas Reddy and Swaroopa were present along with others.
