​Mancherial: Local legislator Diwakar Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao introduced sheep distribution scheme in order to strengthen Yadava and Kurma communities. He participated in sheep distribution programme at Namnur in Hazipur on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, he lauded KCR for implementing several social welfare schemes that would benefit the downtrodden. “A team of 20 doctors examined sheep before importing them from Ahmed Nagar and Sholapur in Maharashtra. There are a total of 5,830 units in the district. As many as 975 sheep have been distributed to the beneficiaries,” he added.

MLC Puranam Sathish Kumar, District Collector R V Karnan, MPP Bera Satyanarayana and ZPTC member Asha Latha were among those present.
