He held a meeting with district officials and Peace Committee members at Rural Development Office (RDO). Speaking at the meeting, the Collector advised the officials to coordinate with each other to solve any issues that may rise, without provoking others.

Sharath also said that tight security arrangements were in place in problematic areas and CCTV cameras were installed along with deploying shadow teams to prevent any untoward incidents.

“Under any circumstances people must not take law into their hands and violate the rules. Stringent action will be taken against those, who violate rules and on those, who disturbs peaceful atmosphere in the district during the celebrations of Ramzan festival along with invoking PD Act on them,” the Collector warned.

District Superintendent of Police Ananth Sharma said that serious action will be taken against the persons, who involve in cases related to communalism. 160 CCTV cameras have been installed at key points in the city, he added.

One should be aware of that if cases were lodged against any persons they will not get pass ports and government jobs, he pointed out. The SP advised the people not to believe messages posted or uploaded in social media like WhatsApp and Facebook that would provoke communalism.

Joint Collector Dr A Nagendra, Metpally Sub-Collector Mushraf Farooq, Rural Development Officer Dr G Narendar, DSPs Karunakar, Malla Reddy, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Sugandini, Municipal Commissioner Prasad and Peace Committee members were present along with others.
