Mahabubabad/Jangaon: The Deputy Chief Minister, K Srihari, has cautioned the government school teachers against using mobile phones in class rooms during the school working hours.
The Deputy CM said if he receives complaint against any teacher found using mobile phones in the class rooms, he/she would be suspended. He addressed a gathering after inaugurating additional classrooms built with an expenditure of Rs 67 lakhs at Thorrur ZPHS in Mahabubabad district on Thursday.
He assured to sanction digital classrooms to the school and asked the school authorities to submit proposals for the construction of a dining hall that could accommodate 200 students and for construction of additional toilets.
Srihari further noted that commencing 510 Gurukuls for the benefit of the rural students in the State was a significant achievement of the State government. No such measure was taken in the states that were being ruled by Congress and BJP in country.
On the day, the Deputy CM has also inaugurated Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya at Peddavangara mandal headquarters. MP P Dayakar, MLA E Dayakar Rao, ST Corporation chairman Gandhi Naik, Mahabubabad District Collector Preethi Meena, former MLA Sudhakar Rao and others accompanied him.
At Devaruppula in Jangaon district, Srihari has inaugurated a newly constructed government junior college building, constructed with an expenditure of Rs 2.25 crore. Addressing the gathering, he said the State government was giving priority towards improving infrastructure at state run educational institutions.
Later, the Deputy CM has chaired a review meeting on Telanganaku Haritha Haram, Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, construction of double bedroom houses and other issues.
MP P Dayakar, MLAs E Dayakar Rao, M Yadagiri Reddy, T Rajaiah, G Sunitha, District Collector A Devasena and others were present.
