Involve public to make Haritha Haram success

​Peddapalli: District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy directed the district officials to implement the third phase of Haritha Haram programme in the district successfully with the coordination of the people.

He chaired a review meeting with the district officials here at the Collectorate conference hall on Thursday to discuss the implementation of Haritha Haram programme.

The in-charge Collector said it is the responsibility of each and every official to implement the State government’s prestigious programme of Haritha Haram successfully from village-level to city and town across the district.

This year’s target is to plant 75 lakh saplings in the district, hence all the district officials of various departments must strive hard to achieve the target, he suggested.

The officials were ordered to prepare an action plan for planting 40,000 saplings under each village panchayat and submit the report it by June 26. By coordinating with people, the officials must implement successfully the third phase of Haritha Haram programme in the district along with distributing suitable fruit and flower yielding plants to them, the in-charge Collector ordered them.

Take necessary steps for planting saplings in the premises of every government office and hospitals along with schools and colleges, he suggested. Rural Development Officers Ashok Kumar, Padmaiah, DRDA Anjaiah, District Forest Officer Krishnamachary and District Panchayat Raj Officer Sudarshan were present along with others.
