The Collector along with K Srinivas, the Personal Secretary of IT Minister K T Rama Rao, visited Ramannapalli village of Thungalapally mandal in the district.

The Collector visited anganwadi centre in the village and observed the attendance chart of the children and checked the size of the eggs that were given to the children.

He observed that the eggs were less than 50 grams in weight. The Collector questioned District Welfare Officer Saraswathi about the size of the eggs and ordered her to take necessary steps to provide eggs of normal size.

He expressed anger on the anganwadi teacher, who forgot the attendance register of the children at her house and asked her to bring it immediately and checked the register.

The Collector also observed the place that was allotted for construction of Gurukul residential school in the village along with water tank and soak pit.

He inspected construction works of burial ground that were going on in the village at a cost of Rs 2.25 lakh and the construction of Sri Krishna Yadav Sangham building.

Speaking to the villagers, the Collector Krishna Bhaskar advised them to complete the construction of soak pits in the villages to increase groundwater levels.

He also asked them to participate actively in Haritha Haram programme by planting different kinds of saplings in the village to increase green cover.

The Collector ordered the officials of concerned departments to complete the developmental works that are going in the village within 90 days.

Later, he distributed dry and wet garbage bins to villagers and asked them to keep their surroundings neat and clean.

Rural Development Officer Panduranga and officials of various departments were present along with local peoples’ representatives.
