Party’s district secretary Goda Sri Ramulu blamed the police for watering down the case. He said the accomplices in the crime were roaming freely. “Law and order position deteriorated in the district.
This is creating fear in people. Enquiry should be made in the case,” he demanded. Gayatri’s parents, who went nostalgic about their daughter, wept bitterly stating that they were unable to come to terms with life post their daughter’s death.
They said justice would be done and such incidents won’t be repeated only when the murderer was hanged to death and the accomplices were awarded punishment. It may be recalled that Gayatri was stabbed to death by Srikanth at Yadagiripalli on June 10.
