Hanamkonda: The district TRS leaders have accused the DCC Bank chairman, J Raghava Reddy, a Congress leader, of turning the bank premises into his private estate.

The party district president, T Ravinder Rao speaking to presspersons in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, stated that the DCC Bank was a public property and meant to serve public. But the bank’s chairman has been misusing it.

Referring to a press conference addressed by Raghava Reddy on the bank premises on Tuesday wherein he hit at his political rival, Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao, the TRS leader noted that it is wrong to make political statements on the bank premises.

‘If he wants to make political statements, he should go to Congress Bhavan and speak whatever he wants,’ he said and added Raghava Reddy has no moral right to criticise Dayakar Rao, who got acceptance and patronage from public in Palakurthy.

The TRS leader further stated that they would make efforts to vacate the stay order given by court and ensure that Raghava Reddy goes to jail for his acts of corruption by exploiting the office of the DCCB chairman.

“Raghava Reddy spent crores of rupees and resorted to rowdism to secure the bank chairman post by defying his own party. Now he is daydreaming to become Palakurthy MLA, which is highly impossible,” Ravinder Rao said.

He dismissed the claims made by the DCCB chairman that his two months’ suspension from the post has affected the functioning of the bank and those suffered as the chairman’s loyalists who are engaged in mismanagement.
