Suryapet: Even before the Yadagirigutta incident where a jilted lover had slit the throat of his girlfriend had died down, another brutal incident on the same lines took place at Sriramnagar in Suryapet on Wednesday.

A woman, Sabina, was hacked to death by her live-in partner in a broad daylight amid full public glare. According to police, the accused Srinivas, an auto-driver, had been in relationship with Sabina for last few months.

Police suspect that Srinivas, who was already married to another woman, wanted to get rid of Sabina and hatched a plan to kill her. On Wednesday, Srinivas attacked Sabina in full public glare at Sriramnagar.

He axed her both hands before slitting her throat. After confirming her death, the accused fled the crime scene.

After receiving information, police rushed to the spot and collected evidences for investigation.From sources, it came to be known that the deceased, Sabina, was a native of Illandu of Khammam district and settled at Suryapet. The accused is a native of Girinagar of Suryapet.

DSP Sunitha informed that a murder case has been registered against the accused and a search operation was launched to nab the culprit.
