Nizamabad Police constables win swimming coach awards
Commissioner of Police Karthikeya handed over awards and certificates at his office on Monday to constables N Srinivas, Mohammad Afsar who were adjudged best swimming coaches by Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala.Â
Nizamabad: Commissioner of Police Karthikeya handed over awards and certificates at his office on Monday to constables N Srinivas, Mohammad Afsar who were adjudged best swimming coaches by Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala.
A total of 23 people from all over the country were trained as swimming coaches for a period of six weeks from May 16 to June 24, at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Karthikeya lauded the efforts of the duo for making the district proud. He wished for many more such awards for the district.
The Commissioner said he would always encourage police staff to take part in activities relating to sports. He also directed them to spare some time for sports to remain healthy, physically and mentally.
