​Khammam: The United Teachers Front (UTF) has demanded the government for the immediate implementation of Fee Regulation Act in the State.

Speaking at a seminar held to discuss the implementation of 'Fee Regulation Act' in the State in Khammam on Tuesday, the UTF national leader Nagati Narayana alleged that corporate and private educational institutions were doing about 13,000 crore of educational business in the State by collecting huge amounts of money from the parents in the name of fee.

He accused the educational institutions of robbing the innocent parents, and paying meagre salaries to their staff.

Lauding the members of Left parties for putting the issue on forefront, he demanded the government to implement regulations made by Thirupathi Rao Committee for regulating the fee in private educational institutions.

CPI district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao said agitations would be taken up against private educational institutions that found collecting high fee. He demanded the government to implement the Fee Regulation Act immediately in the State.

CPM state executive member Pothineni Sudharshan Rao, CPI-ML district secretary G Venkateshwarlu, student leaders T Nagaraju, RanjithKumar and Arshad, Buggaveeti Sarala, Shaik Basheeruddin, Dasari Nageshwar Rao, Yadagiri, Srinu, Venkanna, Thoutam Venkateshwarlu, Lakshmi Narayana, T L Narasaiah, Rakesh and Ashok attended the seminar along with others.
