Khammam: The leaders and cadre of the Congress party celebrated the 97th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on a grand note here in Khammam on Wednesday.
Garlanding the photo of PV Narasimha Rao here at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan, party district president Aitham Satyam said, as the president of All India Congress Committee (AICC) and as Prime Minister of India PV Narasimha Rao strived hard for the uplift of weaker sections of the society.
By bringing reforms in agriculture and economic sectors, PV worked hard to lead the nation towards development in all sectors. Being a polyglot, PV wrote many books in different languages which inspired several people across the country, he informed.
The youth leaders of the Congress party must take him as an inspiration and must follow the path showed by the great politician to strengthen the Congress party in the district, he suggested.
Party leaders D Daniel, Md Tajuddin, Y Bala Gangadhar Tilak, Bandi Mani, T Hanumanth Rao, K Gopal, T Lakshmi Narayana, Md Fazal, B Raju Naik, B Balaji Rao Naik, B Shankar Rao, A Radha Krishna, L Saidulu Naik, P Mallaiah, M Pothi Reddy and G Venkataiah were present along with others.
