Sircilla Anganwadi centres get 33.24 lakh worth durables
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar sanctioned various durables worth Rs 33.24 lakh from Crucial Balanced Fund (CBF) for the better functioning of anganwadi centres across the district, District Welfare Officer (DWO) Saraswathi informed.

The Collector on Thursday distributed the durable items to about 202 anganwadi centres that have permanent buildings. Speaking on the occasion, DWO Saraswathi said that items like egg racks, carpets, water drums, plastic chairs and almirahs were distributed to anganwadi centres as part of their modernisation.
It is the responsibility of the anganwadi teachers to make use of the furniture and items distributed to the centres properly. She suggested using the carpets and chairs for mothers and children, who visit anganwadi centres, almirahs to store important documents and files and the water drums to store water.
The DWO along with the anganwadi teachers thanked the Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, Joint Collector Yasmine Basha and District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad on the occasion.
