Nalgonda: President of the Indian Medical Association, Neelagiri branch Dr Vasantha Kumari stated that they would conduct regular blood donation camps from Doctors’ Day, i.e., July 1.

Addressing the media in Nalgonda on Thursday, she said many persons were losing their lives due to non-availability of blood. “In this connection, the IMA has decided to conduct regular blood camps on first of every month to make the India a blood surplus country,” she said.

She further informed that a blood donation camp would be organised on July 1 at IMA building in Nalgonda from 9 am to 11 am. Blood donors including doctors, medical representatives and general public would participate in the camp.

In the evening, five senior doctors in the town along with District Collector Dr Gaurav Uppal and his wife would be felicitated after the hoisting the organisation’s flag and taking a pledge.
