Hanamkonda: The success stories narrated by the candidates, who recently secured ranks in UPSC civil services examinations, have inspired all at a seminar on the topic ‘Script your own success story'.
The civil services rankers from the district, Bandaru Ranjith Kumar, Takkalapalli Yashwanth and Chennuri Rupesh shared hardships they faced and efforts they made in getting the ranks at the seminar organised by Sulakshya Seva Samithi in association with Vaagdevi Degree and PG College in Hanamkonda on Friday.
Chennuri Rupesh, who comes from a humble background and secured 526th rank in the examination, felt that poverty and hardships should not deter a person achieving his goals. He said he did his schooling in Telugu medium at a government school and found it very difficult to understand English initially.
“Yet I made committed efforts to face the challenge and mastered the language,” he said. Takkalapalli Yashwanth, who secured All India 531st rank, opined that one should have a burning desire to succeed. ‘Handling failure is more important than celebrating success as success rarely knocks the door when compared to failures,’ he noted.
All India 555th rank holder, Bandaru Ranjith Kumar, said the credit goes to his parents, who constantly supported him when he was emotionally low. He noted that motivation doesn’t come from external sources an individual should have to ignite his desire to achieve big.
Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu, who congratulated the rankers for bringing laurels to the parents and Warangal, has appreciated Sulakshya for organising the programme that inspired all.
Sulakshya Seva Samithi founder president Santhosh Manduva said that the seminar was organised as part of their objective of empowering the youth and with an intention to inspire civil services aspirants.
The Director of the MBA programme at the college Prof G Narasimha Murthy, Prof K Raji Reddy, S Mahendra Kumar, Sugunakar Reddy, Bandaru Narayana, Sarojana, Akula Sampath, Chaitanya, Hareender Reddy, Kodam Vinay and large number of students took part in the event.
