Solve problems of Model Schools: DSU

​Karimnagar: The representatives of Democratic Student Union (DSU) staged a dharna in front of Boinapally Model School, demanding the government solve the problems of the school here on Friday.

Speaking at the dharna, DSU district in-charge Janardhan said that introduction of Model schools in the State had brought revolutionary change in the field of education. But many schools across the State are in a pitiable condition and crying for attention.

The construction of the buildings was not yet completed in many schools. There were no proper basic facilities in the schools and no hostel facility for boys due to which, there were facing problems to attend the school regularly from distant places, he pointed out.

The students are served with polished rice in mid-day meals without a proper menu. The students are bringing their own lunch boxes. Uniform is not provided for 9th and 10th class students, he criticised.

He demanded that the government must solve the problems immediately that have been plaguing many Model Schools across the State and provide nutritious diet to the students apart from arranging hostel facility for boys.

DSU representatives withdrew the dharna with the assurance of the Principal of Boinapally Model School of solving the problems as soon as possible.

DSU representatives Uday, Srikanth, Ajay, Kalyan, Raju, Pranay, Sai Kumar, Swathi, Soujanya, Akanksha, Pavan, Manohar, Jyothi and Manikanta were present along with others.
