The Minister on Monday laid the foundation stones for the construction of OHSR, at a cost of Rs 1.12 crore under Mission Bhagiratha project in Palair segment in Khammam rural mandal, construction of tanks at Maddiwarigudem at a cost of Rs 47.50 lakh, in Polishettygudem at a cost of Rs 40 lakh and in Kothur at a cost of 35 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, the R&B Minister ordered the officials to complete the construction works of OHSR in Palair segment by the end of December along with preparing proposals for providing further facilities in the villages.

Receiving the applications for pensions and Sada bainama lands from the villagers, the Minister ordered the officials to solve their issues as early as possible as per the eligibility of applicants and asked them to submit the report.

He also ordered the officials of R&B and Panchayat Raj departments to inspect land from Polishettygudem to Papatpally and Palleygudem for the construction of Kamanchikal Bridge along with asking the officials of Irrigation department to prepare the proposals for construction of check dams.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadepally Kavitha, DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, Chairman of the Seed Development Corporation S K Budan Baig, Kondabala Koteshwar Rao, MPP Mellacheruvu Lalitha, City Mayor Dr G Papa Lal, Rural Water Supply department Superintending Engineer K Srinivas, R&B department Superintending Engineer Lingaiah, Pushpa Latha, V Vekateshwarlu, M Manikya Rao, Rural Development Officer Purnachandra, MPDO Srinivas Rao and the Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Marapaka Nagesh were present along with other officials.
