Rural Development Commissioner Neetu Kumari Prasad directed the officials of Panchayat Raj department to upload the details of the works related to Individual Household Latrines (IHHL) online immediately.
​Peddapalli: Rural Development Commissioner Neetu Kumari Prasad directed the officials of Panchayat Raj department to upload the details of the works related to Individual Household Latrines (IHHL) online immediately.
She along with District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy chaired a review meeting with MPDOs and DRDA officials at the Collectorate conference hall here on Monday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Commissioner informed that about 34,403 IHHLs were sanctioned for the district till date and another 5,757 IHHLs would be sanctioned in near future.
The works of 3,801 IHHLs are in progress while 28,057 are in final stage of completion. Till date Rs 7.88 crores were paid for the construction works in the district and the remaining amount Rs 18.39 lakhs will be paid as early as possible, she assured.
So far the officials have inspected nine villages of the total 114 that were declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) under Swatchh Bharat.
Only 9,705 photos, along with the 524 photos uploaded on Monday, have been uploaded till date against the target of 25,204 photos as per Swachh Bharat Mission, she stated.
Neetu Kumari Prasad ordered the officials to take necessary steps for completing the pending works of IHHLs in the district at the earliest to declare the district as ODF.
District and Rural Development Officer Anjaiah, MPDOS and officials of Panchayat Raj department were present along with others.
