Miryalaguda Deputy Superintendent of Police Surabi Ramgopal Rao adopted an orphan girl, Komali, of Utlapalli of Miryalaguda mandal, who lost all her family members. He announced that Miryalaguda police would oversee the welfare of the girl when he gets transferred to another place.

On Wednesday, he deposited Rs 19,000 for her education needs. According to the DSP, Komali (14), hailed from a poor labor family and lost her father, Chintal Krishnaiah in 2007 and her mother, Harivendra in 2012.

Then she along with younger sister, Saidamma, took the shelter at her paternal grandparents house. However, the grandparents passed away in few months due to old age.

Then they took shelter at their maternal grandparents where they too died after some time. Before the death of her grandparents, her sister Saidamma also died due to illness in 2015.

After losing all her loved ones, Komali stopped her studies and started working as a labourer in the Utlapalli village for livelihood. After coming to know about the tragedy, the DSP along with staff met Komali and decided to adopt her to give new lease of life to her.

Speaking to media, DSP Ramgopal Rao said Miryalaguda police would take care of Komali still she settles in the life. Meanwhile, Komali thanked the DSP for his kind gesture.
