Jagtial: Take necessary steps for increasing institutional deliveries in government hospitals, ordered District Collector Dr A Sharath. He inaugurated KCR Kit Awareness rally at Kalleda Primary Health Centre in Jagtial on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Dr A Sharath said that necessary steps were taken for modernising all government hospitals in the district along with providing modern and advanced medical equipments by appointing sufficient staff to tackle with all kind of health issues.

He said people have to shed huge amounts if they go to private hospitals where the government hospitals have all facilities and give free treatment. Also, the government is giving KCR Kits to women, who deliver in government hospitals.

Under KCR Kit, the beneficiaries will be given various items required for nourishing the newborn baby worth Rs 2,000 along with implementing ‘Amma Odi scheme’ under which, Rs 13,000 will be given and Rs 12,000 to a male child, the Collector explained.

He urged the representatives of people’s organisations and officials to create awareness among the people on various schemes given to the people, who visit the government hospitals.

District Health Officer Dr Jayketh Reddy and other health officials were present along with staff members of Kalleda Primary Health Centre in the KCR Kit awareness rally.
