Nalgonda: Congress deputy CLP leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy mocked the state government for not supplying uninterrupted drinking water to the people even after three years of its tenure.

On Wednesday, the MLA along with Nalgonda municipal chairperson Boddupally Laxmi Srinivas and officials concerned visited the Udayasamudram reservoir, located at Pangal in Nalgonda town and examined the water level of the reservoir.

Speaking to media, Komatireddy expressed his concern over the poor water level in the reservoir which supplies drinking water to Nalgonda town and 540 villages, including fluoride-affected areas. He held Minister G Jagadish Reddy and other TRS leaders responsible for the present pity situation of the reservoir.

Stating the present water level in the reservoir caters the drinking needs of Nalgonda town and other villages for a week to 10 days, he demanded the government to fill the Udayasamudram reservoir within a week, otherwise they would lay siege to Secretariat.

The MLA was accompanied by municipal officials Venkat Reddy, Ramulu, DCCB director Pasham Sampath Reddy, Congress women wing district president Dhanalaxmi, Bodduplly Srinivas and others.
