Nizamabad: The outsourcing employees of Government Hospital, led by All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), staged a protest in front of the hospital here on Wednesday demanding the government implementation of its promise of equal pay for equal work.

Complaining that they were not paid salaries since three months, the outsourcing staff lamented that the work pressure was more on them since there are only 60 employees against the requirement of 200. They blame the contractor for not providing salary receipts for the past two years.

The employees demanded the government implementation of its promise of paying a salary of Rs 18,000 per month. “We will go on strike if our demands are not met,” they threatened the government. AITUC activists Yadagiri, Bhagya Lakshmi, Kavitha, Babli, Anuradha, Kali Prasad, Munnibi and others were present.
