Ramagundam: As per the guidelines from Supreme Court, counseling sessions will be given to students, youth and their parents, in the name of ‘Parivartan’, before registering cases against them, said Commissioner of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal at a press meet here on Thursday.

As part of Police Mitra, counseling centres are established at all police stations for the purpose. Since the academic year commenced, counseling session will be organised to students to prevent them from getting addicted to bad habits, after talking with the managements of educational institutions, he explained. The counseling committee will include senior citizens, doctors and psychiatrists, informed the top cop.

To keep check on crime, which is mostly taking place during nights, the police instructed auto drivers to hand over their detailes like their auto number, license number, aadhaar number, photo, auto owner details etc, the Commissioner informed.

A list of history-sheeters was prepared before the formation of Police Commissionerate and bind-over cases were registered against them, which will be implemented for a period of six months along with registering bind-over cases on persons indulged in manufacturing and selling of illicit liquor and gutka and on those who were indulged in gambling, Vikram Jeet Duggal explained.

Peddapalli DCP Vijender Reddy, Mancherial DCP John Wesley, Godavarikhani Assistant Commissioner of Police Apurva Rao, CS Inspector Vijay Sarathi, One Town Circle Inspector Krishna and Traffic Circle Inspector Venkateshwarlu were present along with others.
