​Hanamkonda: In the wake of protests and chaos on Kakatiya University campus following the slip-ups that cropped up in announcing results of degree exams and M Phil/PhD entrance, two officials in examination branch have quit their posts.

The Additional Controllers of Examinations, Prof P Malla Reddy (Degree section) and Prof T Srinivasa Rao (confidential section) have resigned for their posts taking moral responsibility for the recent happenings in connection with degree and PhD/M Phil examinations.

They submitted their resignations to the KU Registrar Prof K Purushotham and have been accepted. An assistant professor of mathematics department Dr L P Raj Kumar has been appointed in the place of Prof Malla Reddy (Degree section) for a period of one year.

As part of correctional measure, computer in-charge of examinations was also replaced by E Suresh Babu, informed the registrar.

Meanwhile, the State Coordinator of Telangana State Ambedkar Association, Jannu Bhasker, leaders D Ramu, S Ganesh, Rameshwara Chary, and others have called on the newly appointed Additional Controller of Examinations Raj Kumar on Friday and congratulated him.
