Minister for Rural Development Jupally Krishna Rao appreciated the District Collector and officials for creating more number of working days in MGNREGA and Haritha Haram schemes and placing the district in number one position in the State.
Mancherial: Minister for Rural Development Jupally Krishna Rao appreciated the District Collector and officials for creating more number of working days in MGNREGA and Haritha Haram schemes and placing the district in number one position in the State.
The Minister reviewed various schemes like MGNREGA, Haritha Haram and poverty eradication programme with District Collectors through video conference on Friday.
He directed the officials concerned to dig pits and complete the saplings plantation by July 11 and to complete kitchen construction work and bath rooms in schools on time and asked the officials concerned to link the employees job card with Aadhar to make payments to them.
Rural Development, Panchayat Rraj Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Rural Development Commissioner Neethu Prasad, District Collector RV Karnan, Panchayat officer Chandrashekar and others attended the meeting.
Peddapally: “Speed up the works under Employment Guarantee Scheme (EGS) by allotting works for every individual, who approaches. Utilise the funds allotted under the Scheme properly by allotting minimum working days to all eligible persons,” Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Jupally Krishna Rao directed all the district collectors during a video conference on Friday.
Rural Development Commissioner Neethu Kumari Prasad also attended the conference. The Minister ordered the officials to conduct village committee and general body meeting from now onwards and to take up CC road works, which will be carried in every constituency under Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Villages sarpanches must organise awareness programmes for the people to explain them about the developmental activities and various works that were carried under Employment Guarantee Scheme.
If the officials are unable to provide minimum 75 per cent of works to the eligible persons that have been allotted under Employment Guarantee Scheme, stringent actions would be taken on them, warned the Minister.
Krishna Rao directed the officials to submit the report of allotment of works under the scheme to the Commissioner every month without fail.
District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy, District and Rural Development Officer Anjajaiah, District Panchayat Raj Officer Sudharshan and staff of District Rural Development Department were present along with others.
