Many of the officials, who attended an official review meeting here on Friday, remained nonchalant even as the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, ministers E Rajender and A Chandulal were seriously engaged in discussing implementation of welfare schemes.
​Hanamkonda: Many of the officials, who attended an official review meeting here on Friday, remained nonchalant even as the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari, ministers E Rajender and A Chandulal were seriously engaged in discussing implementation of welfare schemes.
It was found during that meeting that some officials, both men and women, sitting in the back rows preferred to have fun in taking selfies, chatting online and attending phone calls. Some others took the meeting easy and dozed off in their chairs.
The meeting chaired by Srihari to review implementation of welfare schemes and development works was attended by district collectors and officials from Warangal Urban and Rural, Jangaon, Mahabubabad and Jayashanker Bhupalpalli districts, besides numerous elected representatives and chairpersons of corporations and boards.
Deliberations on agriculture, Haritha Haram, three acre land to landless dalits, double bedroom housing, distribution of sheep units and others have taken place at the meeting which was held for about three hours. However, a few officials have looked oblivious to all those serious discussions.
‘Restrictions on the use of mobile phones during official review meeting should be imposed to avoid these kinds of things happening,’ suggested a senior official.
