Love towards literature is taking Hyderabadi lad to an international platform. The over delihted Nandi Chinni Kumar is a PhD research scholar in comparative literature at the University of Hyderabad is one amoung select few from around the world to attend the most Prestigious Harvard University’s 7th Edition “World Literature Programme 2017”.
Love towards literature is taking Hyderabadi lad to an international platform. The over delighted Nandi Chinni Kumar is a PhD research scholar in comparative literature at the University of Hyderabad is one amoung select few from around the world to attend the most Prestigious Harvard University’s 7th Edition “World Literature Programme 2017”.
It is being held at University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is all excited to attend the seminars on world literature and to present a paper on 'Melodrama in Hindi Cinema' in the world cinema and world literature colloquium.
Nandi Chinni is an independent Filmmaker as well. He is a Talent Campus India alumni (Series of Filmmaking Workshop Conducted by Berlin International Film Festival, and Berlinale Talent Campus) and his short film flycatcher was officially selected in competition and screened at Mumbai International Film Festival 2014 and other festivals.
He has written and directed his debut feature English film “The Seventh Bowl” which has been entered into various film festivals.
“I am fortunate enough to get selected yet again for this literature program. I got this oppourtunity last year as well and am elated to attend again. My dedication towards my interest is finally turning fertile. My work speaks more then I do and I am planning to discuss a lot with the most experinced people at the event. I want to make the best use of this oppourtunity” says the enthusiatic Nandi Chinni.
The Institute for World Literature (IWL) has been created to explore the study of literature in a globalizing world. World Leading literary figures in World Literature like Alexander Breecroft – University of South Carolina, Christian Dehl – University of Copenhagen , Thomas Claviez – University of Bern, David Damrosch - Harvard University etc. are participating and will offer seminars and lectures.
Nearly 160 Participants are participating from around 70 countries from all over the globe He has also participated in many International conferences and recently he got a chance to present papers on Asian Cinemas in Indonesia.
Nandi did his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya , Gachibowli, Graduation from Nizam College and completed Masters in Communication from University of Hyderabad.“I have lot of plans once I get back from this program. I wish to create my own niche in the field of literature” he concludes.
