People urged to take part in Haritha Haram

District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu has called upon people to take part in the third phase of Haritha Haram programme. In a press note released here on Tuesday, the Collector informed that nearly 1.6 crore saplings were ready to be planted in the district.Â

He directed the officials of all the government departments to participate in the programme and to strive to make the district green. “Of the targeted 100 km stretch of road, the Forest officials completed planting of saplings on the either sides of the road for 40 km. The district officials should submit reports on Haritha Haram programme after their visit to the respective mandals,” he added.
