Rescue child labourers: Sircilla Collector

A meeting was held with the officials of police, education, health, welfare, child helpline and child welfare departments to discuss about the implementation of third phase of the Central government’s project ‘Operation Muskaan’ here in Sircilla on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector ordered the officials to rescue the children of below 18 years age, who are working in shops and found begging at various locations along with those missing.
It is the responsibility of everyone to protect the children and give them a better life, since today’s children are future citizens. The rescued children should be sent to rescue homes and child protection centres by collecting their complete details, he suggested.
District Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Kampati said special rescue teams have been appointed for rescuing the children working in shops and brick kilns and at various other locations. ‘This process of rescuing children will continue till July 31,’ he informed.
Later the District Collector Krishna Bhaskar and Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Kampati released a poster and a sticker on the prevention of child labour along with Joint Collector Yasmine Basha, District Welfare Officer Saraswathi and ICPS department officer M Raj Kumar.
Sub-Inspector Rajeshwar, District Medical and Health Officer R Ramesh, Sectoral Officer of Education Department Srinivas, Child Protection Centre Chairperson Komaraiah, Rafi, Yellaiah, Swapna, Supervisors of Welfare Department Sabitha and Child line Coordinator Sampath were present along with others.
