​Nakrekal: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari stated that the government was keeping its KG to PG free education poll promise by setting up Gurukuls and residential schools.

On Tuesday, the Deputy CM launched English medium in government schools at a programme held at Nakrekal. Speaking on the occasion, he said education was the only tool to eradicate poverty and inequalities in the society.

He informed that as a part of achieving Golden Telangana, the state government has been spending crores of rupees on providing quality education to poor.

Stating that the state government has started 525 residential schools in the state, he informed that with the combined efforts of teachers and parents wonders could be achieved. He advised teachers to work hard to build confidence among people over education in government schools.

He assured infrastructure in government schools and advised people to utilise government schools. Member of Parliament Boora Narsaiah Goud, Local MLA Vemula Veeresham, MLCs Poola Ravinder and Sudhakar Reddy, District Education Officer Sharanya Reddy, Nomula Narsimhaiah, local TRS leaders and people participated in the programme.
