Lambasting the Congress party, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said the Congress leaders under frustration were making baseless allegations against the government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. On Thursday, Harish along with Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and G Jagadish Reddy participated in several developmental works in Miryalguda Assembly constituency. 

​Miryalaguda: Lambasting the Congress party, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said the Congress leaders under frustration were making baseless allegations against the government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. On Thursday, Harish along with Ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao and G Jagadish Reddy participated in several developmental works in Miryalguda Assembly constituency.

Addressing the people at a meeting held at NSP Grounds in Miryalaguda, Harish said the state government was taking long-term measures for the welfare of farmers, but the opposition was making baseless allegations for their political mileage. He further said Congress had no right to talk about the farmers issues as they had neglected them during the Congress regime in the united state.

Stating that NITI Ayog had appreciated the government flagship program Mission Kakatiya, the Irrigation Minister refuted the allegations of irregularities in the scheme by Congress and other party leaders.

Harish added that the state government was improving amenities in health and education sector and providing irrigation waters by finishing projects within the deadline.

He informed that the government was spending Rs 1,300 cr for the modernization of Nagarjunasagar project and providing irrigation facility to 50,000 acres through modernisation of Musi canals in the erstwhile district. He said Bhongir and Aler assembly constituencies would get Godavari waters from Kaleshwaram.

Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao said by spending 45,000 crores on welfare schemes, Telangana was ahead of other states in the country.

Minister Jagadish Reddy fired salvos on TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy for his allegations on functioning of state government and poll promises. Branding him as a pro-Andhra leader, he questioned Uttam’s contribution to this region during the 10 years of Congress rule before the state’s formation.

MP Gutha Sukender Reddy, ZP Chairman Balu Naik, Municipal Chairperson Tirunagari Nagalaxmi, Alugubelly Amarender Reddy, local leaders and large number of people participated in the programme.
