Khammam: Lashing out at the TRS government for neglecting the farming sector in the state, the CPI announced that it was organising Chalo Collectorate programme on July 24.

Speaking at a meeting held with the leaders of the party and its peoples’ organisations, under the leadership of Thati Venkateshwar Rao, at the party office in Khammam on Friday, district secretary of the party, Bagam Hemanth Rao alleged that the State government has failed contain fake seed menace, due to which the farmers were incurring huge losses and resorting to suicides.

The State government did not fulfill any of its poll promise be it three acres of land to Dalits, KG to PG free education, one lakh jobs etc, Bagam criticised, adding that the government was using its political power against tribals by not issuing the papers of Podu lands and threatening them to vacate the lands.

He added that apart from Chalo Collectorate programme, a rally will be taken out from Pavilion Grounds to Collectorate. Party leaders Potu Prasad and S K Jani Miya were present along with the representatives of various peoples’ organisations.
