Siricilla: District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar said that ‘Kotha Cheruvu’ in the town would be renovated and developed on a par with that of Komiti cheruvu in Siddipet and all necessary steps were being taken in this regard.

The Collector accompanied by the officials of Irrigation department inspected the modernisation works of Kotha Cheruvu on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said that with the initiative taken by the Minister for Information Technology and Municipal Administration, K T Rama Rao, the State government sanctioned Rs.8.75 crore for the renovation of Kotha Cheruvu.

He said for the construction of a park near the premises of Kotha Cheruvu and a perfect bund across it, around Rs.8 crore were invested. In another two months, an action plan would be formulated and the works for construction of park and bund would begin, the Collector added.

The construction of the park would be done for creating a pleasant atmosphere for the people of Sircilla town so that they could spend some quality time with their family members and children in the park, Collector Krishna Bhaskar added.
