SCCL plants 10L saplings in 10 days
Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar directed the officials concerned to go as per plans to reach the target of planting 1 crore saplings.
Ramagundam: Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and Managing Director N Sridhar directed the officials concerned to go as per plans to reach the target of planting 1 crore saplings.
The Singareni has achieved a record of planting 10 lakh saplings within a span of 10 days, after launching third phase of Telanganaku Haritha Haram in the state, he said.
In all, 50,000 saplings were planted in Sattupalli, 89,750 in Kothagudem, 95,250 in Illandu, 65,400 in Manuguru, 79,000 in Ramagundam area one, 29,000 in Ramgundam area two, 22,000 in Ramagundam area three and 1.5 lakh saplings in Jayashankar-Bhupalpalli.
Similarly, 91,822 saplings were planted in Srirampur, 92,000 in Mandamarri and 1,85,000 in Bellampally Goleti area, said Forest officials in a statement.
