Nalgonda: The Nalgonda police on Monday arrested the accused involved in the murder of realtor Matta Saidaiah Chowdary. It may be recalled that Chowdary was stabbed to death at Stay Inn lodge in Nalgonda July 20.

Presenting the accused Kancharla Jagan Mohan Reddy (48) of Nakrekal, Pannala Satthi Reddy (43) and Bodi Venkateshwarlu (47) of Vallala of Shaligowraram mandal before the media at DPO office, Superintendent of Police N Prakash Reddy explained the case details.

According to the SP, after examining the CCTV footage available at the lodge, the accused were identified. Soon police arrested the accused at Pangal bypass road in Nalgonda on Monday and recovered the knives used in the crime.

SP informed that the trio made an agreement with Chowdary to purchase 21 acres land in Nakrekal and paid Rs 50 lakh as advance. However, they failed to pay the remaining amount within the stipulated time. Meanwhile, Chowdary sold the land to others and completed the registration process.

When Chowdary refused to return their money, the trio decided to kill him. Implementing their plan, they invited Chowdary to the lodge and attacked him with knives.

Meanwhile, Valla MPTC Imthiyaz on the pretext of saving one of the accused Jagan Mohan Reddy from the murder case cheated the latter’s family members.

On directions of Imthiyaz, Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife gave Rs 3 lakh to Imthiyaz’s follower, Aina raghupathi.

Based on the complaint of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife, police arrested both Imthiyaz and Raghupathi and filed a cheating case against them under IPC Section 420. SP Prakash Reddy appreciated the police who cracked the case within a week.
