Teacher suspended for dozing off in the class
A school teacher was suspended for sleeping in the class here at Midjil Zilla Parishad High School in the district on Friday.
Mahbubnagar: A school teacher was suspended for sleeping in the class here at Midjil Zilla Parishad High School in the district on Friday.
According to District Education Officer (DEO) Somi Reddy, a villager from Midjil mandal in the district had sent the photo of K Ramulu, a School Assistant in Midjil Zilla Parishad High School, who was found sleeping in the class while his students were busy doing their work.
“The teacher has clearly violated the conduct rules by sleeping in the class and neglecting his legitimate duties.
We have suspended the teacher for his grave negligence and issued suspension notice with immediate effect as per the sub rule 8(1) (a) of CCA rules 1991,” informed the Assistant Director of Education, Mahbubnagar in a notice.
The DEO office has directed the teacher not to leave the headquarters during the suspension period without obtaining prior permission from the district education authorities.
