Based on information from various sources, the Superintendent of Police N Koti Reddy said the police conducted raids on residences and business firms of several money lenders in the town.
The police have also seized around 150 promissory notes reportedly worth anywhere between Rs 50 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, five passbooks, one cheque book and Rs 15 lakh cash from four persons. Sub-Inspectors M Kamalakar and K Thirupathi led the raids.
