Wanaparthy: Telangana Higher Education Council with the cooperation of Coign Consultancy as part of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has launched awareness programmes throughout the state.

As part of the programme, an awareness campaign was launched on Friday at the Government Degree College here in the name of ‘Disha’, headed by its coordinator Niranjan.

Addressing the girl students, college principal Dr G Raghunatha Reddy said that the programme was intended to provide counseling to the students besides equipping them with various skills to make them employable.

Coordinator Dr Sadashivaiah suggested the students to make use of this opportunity to secure employment. Retired Telugu lecturer G Brahmanandam, as a chief guest, said that women should come forward to take up employment for the development of the society.

Disha coordinator Niranjan elaborated on the available employment opportunities and how to grab them. Vice-principal P Srinivasulu, TSKC mentor T Venkatesh and others were present.
