Telangana IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan advised young engineers to take advantage of Central government’s start-up India programme.

Addressing first year students of Muffakham Jah of College of Engineering and Technology (MJCET) in Banjara Hills over the weekend, the IT Secretary said, “India is made of young population, and more young students are becoming entrepreneurs.”

He advised students “to progress with the changing world and embrace new technology. Many startup organisations have been set up in India, and Telangana ranks first in the ease of doing business in India.”

The Startup India programme on Wednesday had 2,500 startups registered with it and counting, from companies on sustainability to startups in power, banking, biotechnology and more.

Speaking on the occasion Sultan UlUloom Education Society Secretary Zafar Javeedwelcomed the “37th batch of students into college”. He advised the students to make use of more than one thousand modern computers in the college’s computer labs and wished them good luck.

He urged the parents to restrain from being strict on their children for education, and advised them to exercise patience, and politeness in counselling students in this matter.

SUES Chairman Khan Lateef Mohammed Khan, Vice Chairman Mr. Mohammed Waliullah, Principal KM Krishnan and Amir Javeed were also present on this occasion.

Earlier, Director Basheer Ahmed welcomed the students. “About 780 students have enrolled into various courses in MJCET,” he said.
