Hanamkonda: Telugu Desam national spokesperson E Peddi Reddy has said that the TRS government is full of scams and corruption. Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, he said that the government is more concerned about on propaganda rather than focusing on development.

“The split of districts aimed at easing the administration is a total failure as it was not done in a scientific manner,” he said, referring to the ongoing protests in Parkal, Narsampet and Wardhannapet demanding their region to be made Warangal Rural district headquarters.

Referring to the rising pub culture in Hyderabad, Reddy alleged that the TRS leaders have links with the drug mafia. He also criticised the government for its inaction against those involved in land and sand mafia.
He said that the government, which considered cost escalation in irrigation projects to the tune of Rs 1,400 crore, is turning a blind eye to the problems of land oustees.

The TDP spokesperson found fault with the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, for not exerting pressure against the Central government to get adequate funds for the irrigation projects in the State.

“Due to government’s failure to submit a detailed project report (DPR), the State didn’t get a national project from the Centre,” he said.

Welcoming the State government’s decision to regularise the contract staff of the energy department, he said that it was aimed at upcoming electricity employees’ polls.

TDP national secretary Revuri Prakash Reddy dared the Health Minister C Laxma Reddy to visit MGM Hospital. “The hospital is without adequate staff and required infrastructure.”

With the government failing to release Arogyasri funds at regular intervals, private hospital managements are denying treatment to poor. Warangal Urban Dist President Eega Mallesham criticised the government for not fulfilling its poll promises.
