The Minister visited Sircilla district and laid foundation stones to various developmental activities here on Wednesday.

The IT Minister laid foundation stones for the development of Venkatrayani tank under Mission Kakatiya-III at a cost of Rs 46.66 lakhs at Kancherla village and for the construction of Panchayat building at a cost of Rs 25 lakhs at Veernapally mandal.

He participated in the third phase of Haritha Haram programme by throwing seed balls into the forest area along with the students of Gurukul High School in Veernapally mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, upgraded the Veernapally village to mandal as part of the districts re-organisation to relieve the people of this area from the problems they have been facing.

All the facilities that will be provided to a mandal will be provided to Veernapally to make it as mandal headquarters. After the formation of Telangana State, about Rs 15 lakh were invested for various developmental activities in Veernapallu mandal along with forming a ring road joining all the thandas present in the surrounding areas of the mandal, he explained.

Better road facilities will be provided by laying CC roads from Yellareddypet to Marrimadla village along with laying of permanent roads to all thandas, KTR assured.

He also said that 24-hours quality power supply would be supplied to farming sector along with supplying fertilisers and seeds and issuing Rs 8,000 per acre to the farmers from the coming up Rabi and Kharif seasons.

District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, SES Chairman D Lakshma Reddy, ZPTC Thota Agaiah and Rural Development Officer Panduranga were present along with others.
