24-hr medical services at Mother & Child Health Care Centre

​Karimnagar: From Thursday onwards, 24-hour medical services will be provided for the patients in Mother and Child Health Care Centre, informed District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed.

He inspected the Mother and Child Health Care Centre on Wednesday and observed the shifting of equipments, furniture and staff from government hospital to the Mother and Child Health Care Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said Health Minister C Lakshma Reddy had inaugurated the 150-bed Mother and Child Care Centre in Karimnagar on July 20. At present one Superintendent and three gynecologists are discharging their duties in the hospital and three more doctors have been employed on contract basis, he added.

Deliveries have been conducting in 350-bed government hospital till date and from Thursday (August 3) onwards 24-hour medical services will be provided to pregnant women in the Mother and Child Health Care Centre.

One anaesthetist, one children specialist and one gynecologist will discharge their duties for 24 hours to look after the health of mother and child and corporate-level medical services would be provided to the patients, Sarfaraz Ahmed assured.

Hospital Superintendent Dr Suhasini, RMO Dr Sridhar and others were present.
