Khammam: District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar advised the bank officials to issue the farm loans on the basis of wetlands.

The Collector chaired a special meeting with the bank officials in view of the fake passbook incident that occurred recently in the district, here at Pragna Conference Hall at Collectorate in Khammam on Wednesday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Collector advised the bank officials not to take the Title Deed into consideration when sanctioning farm loans.

“Follow the CCLA and SLBC guidelines strictly when sanctioning farm loans and do not sanction more than the fixed amount. Consult the officials of revenue department to clear the doubts if any,” suggested the Collector.

He also ordered the bank officials to conduct review meeting with officials concerned of various branches of the bank and discuss the loans that were sanctioned at various branches apart from organising a workshop.

Stating the State government would sanction Rs 4,000 to farmers from next year, he asked the officials to inform the farmers that new revenue documentation, new records and wetlands would be taken into consideration for sanctioning new loans.

District Joint Collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy, Lead Bank Manager Shirpani Naik, Canera Bank Chief Manager Dr K Brahmanaidu, APGVB Senior Manager T D Suresh Kumar, Central Bank of India Assistant Manager S Swathi, Indian Bank Manager Subramanyam and Andhra Bank Officer Bhairavnag Jadav were present along with others.
