​Mahabubabad: District Collector Dr Preethi Meena suggested the unemployed youth to establish industries to lead a better life, with the help of various government development schemes.

She chaired a meeting with the representatives of District Industries Development Committee here at the Collector camp office on Thursday.

By utilising the government schemes like T-Pride, TS-Ipass, the unemployed youth belonging to Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes can get loans on subsidy (35 per cent for men and 45 per cent for women) for establishing industries and to provide job opportunities to other unemployed youth.

The Collector ordered the officials to create awareness on such development schemes by educating the unemployed youth and motivate them for establishing industries such as dairy and poultry.

The representatives of DIDC informed the Collector that the Committee had received 29 proposals under T-Pride.

Out of which 28 belongs to transport category and one to establish poultry farm, which had been accepted by the Committee.

District Industries Department Manager Veeresham, representatives of DIDC, Joint Collector Damodar Reddy and others attended the meeting.
