Kothagudem to develop 192 lakh fish seed

District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu said 192 lakh fish seed would be developed in the Bhadradri-Kothagudem district. On Wednesday, taking part in a video conference with Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Collector said 163 ponds were identified for development of fish seed.
Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu said 192 lakh fish seed would be developed in the Bhadradri-Kothagudem district. On Wednesday, taking part in a video conference with Fisheries Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the Collector said 163 ponds were identified for development of fish seed.
He further added that the Fisheries department had already identified 87 ponds for developing fish seed in 132 Gram Panchayat. Thirty-one tribal society, 15 non-tribal societies and seven Mahila societies were identified for the development of fish seed, he said.
Fisheries department official Buchi Babu and Animal Husbandry Assistant Director Dr Venugopal attended the video conference along with the Collector.
