Woman delivers baby in auto-rickshaw

​Nizamabad: A woman on Thursday gave birth to a baby boy in the three-wheeler itself as the medical officers and other staff members at the Government General Hospital here reportedly did not respond to the needs of the pregnant woman.

Asha, from Ramchandrapalli, went to the Government General Hospital here to undergo delivery. But, the hospital staff sent her to a private medical diagnostic center citing non-availability of the radiology staff.

She developed labour pains again and approached the hospital, but the hospital staff remained unresponsive. She delivered the baby in the autorickshaw. Both the mother and the child are in good condition.
